How it Works¶
When configuring new tables in the web client, use the limepkg-generating-views buttons instead of manually selecting fields and relationships to display.
The package performs a Select Query to retrieve the database structure as it is defined in Lisa, including separators and excluding hidden fields. The result is formatted and sent to the Lime Admin API to update the object's view schema.
Generate card view¶
The "Generate card view" button updats the schema of the card of any choosen table. Obs Widgets aren't changed.
Generate table view¶

Download table and card view¶
The "Download table and card view" button combines the data from both the card and table views and generates a text file, which is then downloaded to your computer.
Recommended Use Case¶
This package is ideal for customers who have been using the desktop client for a long time and have added many custom fields or tables. When beginning the transition to the web client, follow these steps:
- Start by navigating to the Generate Views package. This is the first step in migrating your existing configurations to the web client.
- Review all relevant tables that need to be configured in the web client. Ensure that you go through each table systematically, applying appropriate icons and colors to maintain visual consistency and usability.
- Use the package to generate the initial views. This will quickly replicate your existing desktop configurations in the web client, saving time and ensuring accuracy.
- After migration, proceed with customer-specific configurations per card as usual. After setting up the main views, you can adjust each card's details to fit the customer's specific needs.
